Who We Are
Patriot Services Group offers America’s “At-Risk” Veterans assistance with permanent housing, independent transportation, and supportive services. We serve Veterans and their families by connecting with local community service providers and coordinating efforts. As a supplement to local programs and providers, PSG empowers Veterans and their specialists and boosts more efficient, effective, and focused allocation of vital resources, drastically improving the chances of success.
Affordable housing and independent transportation are key resources for social service providers but are far too often in short supply. By developing partnerships with both public and private agencies and executing an integrated approach, PSG and other Veteran-focused organizations drastically improve Veteran’s access to social determinants and improve the overall well-being of individuals, families and communities.
Patriot Services Group empowers America’s homeless programs and services, stimulating more efficient, effective, and focused use of vital resources, drastically improving Veteran outcomes and the prospect of living a rich, purposeful civilian life.
Leadership
Rick Wheat - Director Housing & Veteran Placement
Rick Wheat is the V.P. of Housing Operations and Veteran Placement. In that role he directs all operations for the group’s multi-family housing portfolio and for underwriting and recommendations for all proposed property acquisitions and their long-term preservation. Rick is also the primary contact for coordinating the placement of Veterans into their communities nationwide.
Jeremy Smith - Director Supportive Services
A dynamic leader with 10+ years of experience in Human Resources & Operations, Jeremy Smith serves as the Director of Supportive Services for Patriot Services where he leads the development of PSG’s supportive services initiatives; namely the Patriot Transportation Initiative. A positive, driven people person, Jeremy is devoted to elevating others around him and serving those who have served.
PATRIOT HOUSING INITIATIVE
The Patriot Housing Initiative (PHI) combines affordable housing with the necessary supportive services that help veterans facing the most complex challenges live with stability, autonomy and dignity. PSG works hand-in-hand with the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) program in each community, providing a proven track record of success by combining Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) rental assistance, long-term case management and clinical service support for Veterans in need.
PATRIOT TRANSPORTATION INITIATIVE
The Patriot Transportation Initiative (PTI) addresses the inadequate transportation void that prevents formerly homeless Veterans from accessing healthcare, jobs, and education. PSG has partnered with One Call and its RelayRIDE system, which combines scheduling, monitoring and communication services together with Lyft’s network of drivers to facilitate getting the veterans to their destinations.
PATRIOT SUPPORTIVE SERVICES INITIATIVE
The Patriot Supportive Services Initiative (PSI) coordinates, collaborates and reciprocates services with other organizations within the Continuum of Care community, effectively creating joint effort solutions to better address the needs of the Veteran as a whole. By connecting with local VA Teams, Veteran Service Organizations and other community resources, our PSI strives to foster a comprehensive array of service offerings such as food, employment, benefit claims, clothing and more to the Veteran community. Veteran engagement is improved, and their entire family ultimately benefits.
